Create a quote in Smile A quote is a formal statement of the cost to provide an account, subscription or other service to a customer. Smile treats quotes as open invoices. A quote does not affect the account balance until it is closed. When you close a quote, Smile turns the quote into an invoice and adds the invoice value to the account balance.Quotes and other open invoices are displayed in the Open Invoices section of the Account tab.To create a quote, raise a manual invoice against an account. Save the manual invoice, and select Leave Open. This saves the quote as a draft transaction, without raising an invoice. |
