Keep your customers informed and put a stop to bill shock or unexpected speed throttling by configuring Smile software to send alerts to customers of data services according to their level of usage.

To create usage alerts in Smile multiple components need to be defined and then brought together or linked. The Usage Alerts for Data Services – Quick Reference Guide steps you through an example sequence to create 50%, 85% and 100% usage alerts as mandated as a minimum by the Telecommunications Consumer Protection (TCP) code.

Smile 5.4.36 has been released. It contains 2 enhancements.

  • Added configuration to hide inactive subscriptions in CAT on a per service basis
  • Added a new SOAP API, getAccountInfo(), to get account information excluding its subscriptions

Note: The Smile 5.4.35 release only contained minor fixes and custom code.
