|Event update: DGIT at MEF18 and Digital Transformation Asia
The DGIT team attends a number of international industry events each year, showcasing its work through innovation projects such as the TM Forum’s Catalyst, and presenting on topics including digital transformation and open APIs. Attending these events is a valuable way to highlight DGIT’s role in shaping industry standards, and to ensure we stay at the forefront of technical innovation for our flagship platforms, Telflow and Inomial Billing.This week, DGIT’s CEO Greg Tilton and Head of Customer & Sales Sean Mattheisz are in Los Angeles for MEF18, a high-profile global event for senior professionals in the networking industry. DGIT has been a sponsor and attendee of this event for the past two years, and this year we’re excited to take part in MEF’s Proof of Concept Showcase, where innovative projects are presented in a live demonstration environment. Alongside our partners Ciena and Vodafone, DGIT will present “Pocket-Sized Model-Driven Networks”, demonstrating how open APIs can enable new network service models to be discovered by Telflow and instantly ordered through digital channels, without any coding required.The use of open APIs is a fundamental architectural principle underlying the design of both Inomial Billing and Telflow, and DGIT continues to be a global champion of using open API technology to drive interoperability between systems and to enable seamless end-to-end order fulfilment.Earlier this month, DGIT attended the Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association (PITA) Digital Strategy Forum in Fiji, where Greg presented on open APIs for digital wholesale and enterprise platforms.

|Raise an adjustment
Raising an adjustment creates a transaction that changes the balance of an account. Adjustments are often used to represent an opening balance, such as a balance for an account migrated to Inomial Billing from another billing system. You can also use adjustments to correct an error in a closed invoice, or to add a goodwill credit to a customer’s account. Adjustments appear in a customer’s account history and in customer statements.Your Inomial Billing administrators can set limits on the adjustments you can raise. For example, an administrator can place a $100 limit on adjustments, or specify that you cannot change the automatically-calculated GST value of an adjustment.Adjustments can also be deprecated – for example, an adjustment defined for correcting an opening balance may be deprecated so that it cannot be used again.
