Hosted Smile is our recommended way to access the great features of Smile without the expense of server licensing or the hassle of purchasing and setting up hardware, rack space, bandwidth, redundancy, disaster plans, backups, operating systems, networks, firewalls, SSL keys, or any of the other nasty stuff.

Hosted Smile provides all the features of Smile including the new shaping, provisioning and ordering mechanisms. In addition to the basic Smile software, hosted Smile provides:

2. • Redundancy: Multiple servers store your live data.
   

3. • Backups: Daily, weekly and monthly backup, all stored off-site in Melbourne.
   

4. • SSL: Free SSL keys for your servers.

Hosted Smile is far easier to deploy and requires far less customer intervention than Smile Server.

Hosted Smile is charged on a “user-pays” basis, and is suitable for all sizes of ISP and Telco, starting from a minimum charge of only $250 per calendar month.

Flow Control is the optional, integrated NetFlow collector and aggregator for Smile. Working in real-time, FlowControl accepts NetFlow packets, classifies and logs them against customer records - fast.

Flow Control features include:

1. • Allocate specific IP blocks to tariff zones to allow zoned billing for your customers (eg, free C2C data)
   

2. • Fast database
   

3. • Optionally stores raw NetFlow data for later analysis, reconciliation or dispute resolution
   

4. • Usage graphs visible in Smile and customer portal
   

5. • Configurable sample interval (default is 2 minutes)
   

6. • All configuration is performed within the Smile interface
   

Flow Control is intended to be deployed physically close to your core routers, and is fully supported by Hosted Smile. When used in conjunction with any version of Smile, Flow Control is controlled entirely from the Smile web interface.

Boxes is a complete solution for ISPs and Telcos who offer mail services to end-users. Designed for service providers with at least 1,000 mailboxes, Boxes provides all of the basic mail functionality required to give your end-users a satisfying email experience using an ISP-specific domain name without referring the customer to gmail.
